Many expats in Kiev will find studying in the city very accessible. Unlike in the US, Ukraine allows parents to choose where they want to send their kids to school, particularly public ones.

There are a lot of public schools in the city that expats can choose from. However, for VIP expats, there are also a number of prestigious international schools in the city that are open for foreign students. The average cost for this type of school is roughly $2000 USD a month – yes, a month!

Compared to the public schools in Kiev, international schools take a year longer as it combines the curriculum requirements of Ukraine and that in the western schools. Most international schools in Kiev use English as their medium of teaching, however, Ukrainian and Russian languages are also used in some classes.
