Kiev is a nice place to spend your long weekend. Whether you are spending a vacation with family, friends, or your lover, the city has something to offer that suits your vacation needs. Having a comprehensive long weekend itinerary is a great way in order to make your travel to the Ukrainian capital one of the most successful and pleasurable experiences.

Get to know the fantastic aspects of the city, ranging from the major must-see attractions to restaurants and cafes, bars and clubs, and most importantly, the beautiful and friendly locals.

Day 1

Get a crash course on the Ukrainian culture with an overview tour of the city. Visit the awesome St. Sophia’s Cathedral, which represents a very impressive collection of Byzantine frescoes and mosaics dating back to the 11th century. Marvel at the cathedral’s green-and-gold dome. Have your lunch at one of the city’s many restaurants that serve traditional as well as international cuisine . Enjoy a walk at Vladimirskaya Gorka, a picturesque location often referred to as “inspiration Mecca”.

Day 2

Take a walk along Andreyevskyi Descent, the city’s Montmartre. Then have a sumptuous lunch at a restaurant. Make sure that you try traditional food. Then, visit the Chernobyl Museum. Also get to know Kiev’s many notable places, including St. Vladimir Cathedral, which is considered to be one of the city’s most beautiful temples. Erected in the 19th century, the cathedral is world-renowned for its unique mosaic art and fresco. After your day tour, head bacak to your hotel, have dinner, and then enjoy the vivacious Kiev nightlife.

Day 3

Take your family, friends, or date to Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (Kiev Monastery of the Caves) and enjoy this amazing living piece of history that dates back to 1051. The monastery is a one-of-a-kind array of holy relics and golden dome churches. Kiev-Pechersk Lavra also contains miles of maze-like underground labyrinths (catacombs) with numerous ancient mummies in sarcophagi.

If you enjoy shopping and bargaining, then you must go to one of the farmer markets in the city. Bessarabsky Rynok is the best market where you will find fresh fruits and vegetables, grown locally and some are imported.
